Asian Pork Sesame Salad – 7 Day Challenge using VonShef Teppanyaki Grill

Asian Pork Sesame Salad

Is it possible for one cooking appliance to bring you so much joy that you obsessively use it everyday and start adapting your recipes around it? Yes, it certainly is when it comes to a Teppanyaki Grill. Not only has it made dinner with my husband and friends that little bit more exciting, it’s created less dishes to wash, which is a thanks I can not give enough.

This awe-inspiring Teppanyaki Grill from VonShef provides an exciting and appealing cooking experience – that’s what it says on the box and I can confirm it’s 100% true! Everyone loves a BBQ, so being able to have one every night in your own kitchen, no matter what season, is a good thing. My husband says what he likes best about the grill is he can sit down while he cooks, and the fact it’s interactive, which makes cooking more fun (a note there to women who need to persuade the other half to spend more time in the kitchen).

So far with all the dishes made on the grill, I’ve needed about 10% of the oil or butter normally used when roasting or frying, due to the non-stick heating plate. Originally made for Japanese cuisine, It’s amazingly useful for so much more. That is why presented for you over the next week I will show the VonShef Teppanyaki Grill’s versatility, and cement its status as a must-have home appliance, with a different recipe everyday for 7 days.

Ready to use for breakfast, lunch or dinner and moving away from Asian flavours, British classics such as fry-ups work perfectly. A match made in heaven for vegetables – the rapid cooking time and lack of oil resulting in perfectly grilled vegetables, holding flavour and vitamins. It is also superb for everyday favourites such as toasted sandwiches. There are so many possibilities! You can pick up your own Teppanyaki Grill from Amazon here:

For Day 1 I’ve started with something easy and in true Oriental style – a healthy Pork and Sesame Salad with soy and ginger dressing. This takes less than 10 minutes to cook, see how easy it is below:
